These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.stewardessbible.com and your purchase of our digital products and memberships. The website and its products are operated by Kylie O'Brien, trading as The Stewardess Bible (“we”, “us”, “our”), an Australian sole trader. By using our website or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Our Products

We sell digital products, including written guides, downloadable resources, and online memberships relating to professional superyacht crew training and careers. Our products are educational resources based on Kylie O'Brien's professional knowledge and experience. They are provided for general guidance and do not constitute legal, immigration, financial, or career guarantees. Visa, certification and regulatory requirements change frequently, and you are responsible for verifying current requirements through official sources.

Purchases and Access

When you buy a digital product, you receive access either by download or through your customer account portal, as described at the point of sale. Access is granted to you for your personal, non-commercial use only. Prices are shown at checkout and are payable in full at the time of purchase.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to provide accurate payment information and confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method. We do not store your full card details.

Digital Products: Your Right of Withdrawal

Our products are digital and are made available to you immediately or very shortly after purchase. Because of this, all sales are final and purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

By completing your purchase and accessing the product, you acknowledge that you are buying digital content and you expressly request immediate access. Where you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you acknowledge that by doing so you agree to the supply of digital content before the end of the statutory cancellation period and you understand that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once access begins.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, our digital products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a product is faulty, not as described, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy. If you experience a genuine technical problem that prevents you from accessing a product you have paid for, contact us at hello@stewardessbible.com and we will put it right.

Memberships and Recurring Payments

We offer products on two different bases, made clear at the point of sale:

One-time purchases. Some products, including Crew Wanted, are a single one-time payment. You pay once, there are no recurring charges, and you receive access as described at checkout.

Recurring memberships. Our memberships, including The Stewardess Bible Membership, the Chief Stewardess Bible Membership, and the Captain's Table, are paid on a recurring subscription basis. The billing frequency and price are shown clearly at checkout, and payments recur automatically until you cancel. With these memberships you receive new content for twelve months from the date you join, together with lifetime access to the content released to you during your membership, as described at the point of sale. You may cancel a recurring membership at any time through your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future payments; it does not refund payments already made, except where required by law. Where your plan includes lifetime access, the scope of that access is as set out at the point of sale.

Intellectual Property

All content sold and published by The Stewardess Bible, including the written guides, downloadable resources, images, branding, and the Mermaid device, is the intellectual property of Kylie O'Brien and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. The Stewardess Bible has been the original superyacht interior training resource since 2011.

When you purchase a product, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own personal use. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or publish any part of our products or website content without our prior written permission. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution is a breach of these Terms and of copyright law.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our website and products lawfully and not to:

• Share, resell, or distribute products you have purchased.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, accounts, or systems.
• Use our content to create a competing product or service.
• Misrepresent our content as your own.

Disclaimer

Our products provide general educational guidance based on professional experience. They are not a substitute for professional legal, immigration, medical, or financial advice, and they do not guarantee employment or any particular outcome. The superyacht industry, including visa rules, certification requirements, and regulations, changes frequently, and you are responsible for confirming current requirements through official sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep our content accurate and up to date but do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Where you are a consumer in another country, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections of the country in which you live.
